Private workshops are for photographers seeking personalized instruction in film or digital camera technique, darkroom, or Adobe Photoshop®. These workshops are held at Steve's home in Salem, Oregon, and are structured for either one or two photographers, with similar goals, who wish to work together.
Steve works with visual artists of all levels, those who have purchased their first camera and those who have been photographing for 40+ years. He works to improve technical skills, composition, and visualization. Students may use any camera, digital or film, 35mm to large format. One Day Workshop (6 hours)
You may schedule a One Day Workshop for any day of the week which Steve is available, including weekends. Any aspect of photography can be worked on. Examples of topics that are often requested:

One-day Private Workshops make excellent gifts for the photographer in your life. Simply register (below) using your own name with your e-mail address. When you receive notification send Steve an e-mail with the name and postal address of the recipient. A personalized gift card will be mailed inviting them to contact Steve to schedule a date for their workshop (or the card can be mailed to you to give to the special person).
Tuition: $250
Weekend Workshop (Saturday and Sunday, 12 hours)
The first day of a weekend workshop is dedicated to capture and improving your composition, film or digital. The second day is dedicated to output. For digital that means Photoshop or Elements. For film that means the proper method for developing film and making a proper proof sheet.
